It's been an amazing last two weeks at Ingrid Creates, we had our opening of the school and celebrated with a free online webinar...and to date (16 Nov 2014) we have had over 100 people register to watch that event and more than half of you signed up as free members to the school! I was ecstatic to see such support during a short promotion, and so happy that there is great interest in Ingrid Creates Online Arts School. Also our online shop opened the other day, and more products are being added over the next few weeks. It's all happening!
A wobbly start to our webinar
Our first webinar had a wobbly start due to some technical difficulties- and we still made a show, which was great. Porcelain artist Yumiko Kanazawa joined us live from Japan to talk about Kutani painting, and I did a porcelain painting demonstration, and chatted about other things. And with that we also got some valuable feedback about access to webinars and our videos here on the school site.
We had a few people express difficulty in being able to watch our Free Tutorials and our courses, and we tested it on all browsers, and can inform you that our videos works most consistently on Google Chrome, Internet Explorer Windows 8, old versions of Firefox may not work. Basically your browser needs to support MP4 videos, and all updated and current browsers support this.
All of our webinars are streamed via a special You tube interface, so if you can watch you tube, you should be able to watch the replays and attend live broadcasts. If you still have difficulties, let me know, and I will send you the direct you tube URL. I will try anyway possible to get the information to you!
I especially want to thank all of you who wrote lovely messages of support to my facebook messages and my email, and how much you enjoyed our premier event, and that you look forward to joining me and all of you on the next webinar. I really appreciate your support and enthusiasm.
If you'd still like to see our first webinar, contact me here and I will send you the link.
Feedback from our first student
What was more exciting, was that one of you took the plunge and booked into our first online course this week! For those of you who are still thinking about whether this style of learning is for you, hopefully this feedback will help you. All of these comments so far are screenshots from our Facebook Fan Page this week:
You can watch the video of our first Student chat webinar; usually access to these videos archives are for past or currently enrolled students and not to free members or general public. However, I think it's important for any of you who might want to know more about how learning online with us works.
As you will notice, this post is open to all viewers usually our blog posts and archives are restricted access to free subscribers to our site. If you'd like to access Free tutorials and blog posts please subscribe here, it's Free!
And for the moment, I am leaving the access open for our subscribed free users to watch some of the student chat webinars, so that you can see what happens, how easy it is to participate in them, and how useful they are to supporting your online learning with us.
Lastly, there are more courses coming in December, I'm finishing the final edits on quite a few videos for porcelain painting and embroidery at the moment. To find out when these courses are available, or when our next free webinar starts, sign up for our newsletter and be updated!
